It\u2019s virtuous to clear out the stuff that\u2019s cluttering our home and simplify our material possessions. This helps us find things more easily, makes for a cleaner environment, and provides other people with stuff they need but you no longer need. BUT, are there ethics for handing down used clothing. Is it fair to give someone else worn jeans that aren\u2019t good enough for me? \u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/earth911.com\/style\/donate-worn-damaged-clothing\/\">Earth 911<\/a> can give you some guidance.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.susanvogt.net\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/05\/dollar-sign.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignright  wp-image-685\" alt=\"dollar sign\" src=\"http:\/\/www.susanvogt.net\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/05\/dollar-sign.jpg\" width=\"75\" height=\"106\" \/><\/a>Sometimes, however, my hand-me downs are not what another person needs most. They might need training, an education, food \u2013 stuff that I can\u2019t just pass on to Goodwill. Sometimes money can do the most good and do it most efficiently. But everybody\u2019s got their hand out. How do we make decisions about donating our money to causes that will do the most good.
